Kjell Robberecht (°1975, lives and works in Sint-Amandsberg, Ghent) is a graphic artist, designer, and visual artist. He graduated in 2001 from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Graphic Design.
In his work as a painter, Robberecht demonstrates a distinctive sensitivity to the tension between inner experience and outward appearance. His paintings combine technical precision with an emotional intensity that is both universal and deeply personal. Themes such as solitude, introspection, and the layered nature of human identity are central to his oeuvre.
Alongside his autonomous artistic practice, Robberecht has a background in graphic design, which manifests in a strong focus on form, color, and composition within his visual work. His aesthetic is recognizable for its subtle interplay between texture and symbolism, the tangible and the hidden.
